Answer : Most document scanning software has a way to automatically number pages to keep a running total of the all the pages that have been scanned. Depending on the software and your requirements, you can use a number field that is incremented on every page, or many programs will keep a running tally of the number of pages scanned.
Some scanners have an imprinter or endorser option that can print a number on the physical page to keep track of the total number of pages.
