: I have mailing labels that I need to scan into Excel or a database format. Is there OCR software that can do this in one step?
Answer : Most OCR applications have an option to convert documents directly to Excel. However, with mailing labels or directories, the result will likely be that the entire name and address will be placed into a single cell rather than broken out into separate columns for Name, Address, City, State, Zip, etc. If you need to convert the addresses so that these elements are all in separate cells, our professional services department can help you by developing a macro that will parse the addresses.
