: I have the SimpleOCR freeware installed on my computer to use with my scanner, but I need step-by-step directions on how to scan, OCR, edit documents, and print without losing the form of the document.
Answer : First, select your scanner via File -> Select Scanner. Then, click Add Page to add pages. After your image is loaded, click Convert to Text. Words that the engine was not confident it recognized correctly will be displayed so that you can correct them. Once you have accepted all the changes, choose Save Document As. At this point, you will be able to save the document and then open it in your text editor of choice.
