Question
: I have a Fujitsu fi-5120C scanner. I accidentally fed a document through it which had a staple attached, and this has scratched one of the scanning components, causing a thin black line to appear down the center of all scans.
Can this be fixed and, if so, what part do I need? Is it possible to fit it myself?
Answer : You will need to replace the dust cover assembly for that unit. Unfortunately, that is not considered a user replaceable part. Currently, the only way to get it replaced would be through a warranty or service contract for your unit.
