: We have a Fujitsu ScanSnap N1800 for quite a few years now and several people use it, we normally just sit down put our papers in and hit scan, but now it is asking for a user name and password "FILE SERVER AUTHENTICATION" which no one knows and we have no paperwork for the machine so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Answer : You can find the full Operator's Guide for the Fujitsu N1800 here. This issue is described on page 345 of this Operator's Guide. This is a user name and password for the Windows Network Folder that the scanner option you are using is set up to save to. To resolve this you would either need to give permissions to the folder without password required or put in the correct username and password to access this folder.
