: What sort of maintenance is need for the scansnap ix500. Is there recommended cleaning sheets. One of the scanners is producing a vertical line on the page about 2 inches from the left edge.
Answer : When you are having a vertical line running down and part of your image it is usually dirt or debris on the glass/plastic covering the camera. Usually cleaning this glass/plastic in the spot that the line appears on the image will correct this.
It is also possible that it is a scratch or crack in the glass. If this is the case the glass needs to be replaced or the scanner needs to be repaired. For the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 you need your initial warranty or a current service contract to get this issue corrected.
